We Are Family Owned & Operated
Our company began as a small landscaping business named Texas Elite Landscaping in 2010. The owner, Chad Harris, started out mowing lawns. Eventually, he hired a crew to do full landscaping and the rest is history. In 2012, Synthetic Grass DFW was born and the switch was made to full-time artificial grass installation.
Since 2012, our company has grown to more than 30 employees. We employ our installers and do not subcontract any work out. Several family members and lifelong friends help run the business as it is today. 10 years later we are one of the leading turf installation companies in Dallas/Fort Worth and also operate a branch in Austin, Texas.
Why We Carry USA Made Grass
Quality is our top priority at Synthetic Grass DFW. You will find that some grasses might cost less, but do not stand up to 15+ years of direct sun and wear/tear. With our USA made grasses shipping time is cut down while quality and standards are high. Our grasses are rigorously tested and undergo a great deal of research in their design.
The majority of the products we carry are made in Calhoun, Georgia at one of the most advanced artificial grass manufacturing plants in the world. Grass colors, thread types, backing materials, thatch design and more all go in to the science of artificial grass. It takes a great deal of skill to create a product that lives a long life and still looks beautiful.
Locally Sourced Products
A lot more goes in to artificial grass installation than just the grass. We use decomposed granite, several types of rock (depending on grading necessary), staples, carbon fabric, dirt haul off, and more. We take pride in supporting other family-owned, local businesses like ours and work to source our products from the like.
If you come to our shop on any given day you are likely to see a truck or 2 from Oklahoma. Or meet any one of our local suppliers. It’s one of the secrets to our success as a family-owned business. Supporting local.

We love to share what we’re up to on our social pages. Find us on Facebook or Instagram to see what’s happening in our shop or what our crews are working on for the day. We support several local schools including elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools. In addition, we work with local animal shelters to clear their wish lists as animals are a big part of what we do. The communities we work in mean a great deal to us and our goal is to give back where we can.
As a team, we are looking for ways to grow and improve. Each month we come together to brainstorm growth, challenges, team bonding and more. We are a family. We take pride in our work.
